Medical Supports provides behavioral treatment plans, occupational therapy, vocational training, routine well-treatment, sensory programming, life skills training, community inclusion, arts and crafts activities, and ongoing service intervention, as needed. All activities are geared toward increasing independence and transitioning individuals into the community.
Behavior Supports can be provided to individuals on an as needed basis, based on each individual’s needs. Data collection, behavioral assessment, development of behavior support plans/recommendations, training and implementation, as well as ongoing plan maintenance are all services provided by Abilities Agency Behaviorist.
Additionally, all of Abilities’ Direct Support Professionals are required to be certified in Crisis Management which is a carefully constructed program designed to teach all staff with any consumer contact, methods to recognize, prevent, and, if necessary, control a consumer in a behavioral crisis.
