Halloween Poem
Time for candy and scary movies,
eating popcorn and getting spooky. It is
a fun time.
Full moon comes out. Filled with
happiness, a scary but fun filled night
for the children.
History by Kevin Giordano
The queen Mary historically is a British ocean liner that sailed primarily on the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967. The Cunard-white star line was built by John Brown and company in Clyde Bank Scotland. Queen Elizabeth was built as part of Cunard’s planned weekly express service between Southampton, Cherbourg, and New York. This was a response to the express superliners built by German, Italian, and French companies in the 1920’s and early 1930’s. With the outbreak of World War II, Queen Mary was converted into a troopship and ferried allied soldiers during the conflict. After the war, Queen Mary was refitted for passenger service. Queen Mary officially retired from service in 1967. The City of Long Beach bought the ship to serve as a tourist attraction featuring restaurants, a museum, and a hotel.
Smile Precure! by Jamaal Theodore
The kingdom of Märchenland, the home of various characters from fairy tales, is attacked by the evil Pierrot who intends to give the world an unhappy ending, but is stopped when the queen uses the last of her energy to seal him away. When Pierrot’s minions from the Bad End Kingdom plan to revive him by harnessing Bad End Energy from the people of Earth, the queen sends the fairy Candy to assemble a team of five magical girls. The series follows the formation of the team and their adventures as they fight off their enemies to collect the Cure Décor, which embody the queen’s
power of happiness and can be used to upgrade their powers and revive the queen.
Memories by Michael Burrini
I enjoy watching TV shows from my childhood such as Sesame Street, this show helped me learn my letters and new words. I watch Barney, which
taught me songs, numbers, and how to play football and baseball. I also enjoy watching the show Arther from my childhood. Full house is another show I enjoy; I find it to be funny. Today, I still watch some of these shows at night, they make me happy.
