October has been a whirlwind of fun at the day program! The team has been busy planning a fantastic Halloween party, brainstorming spooky themes, and getting everything ready for the big day. Everyone had a blast decorating pumpkins, with each person creating their own unique designs, from spooky faces to colorful characters. The excitement didn’t stop there! The group also enjoyed a Halloween outing, complete with costumes and plenty of festive spirit. It’s been a month full of creativity, laughter, and Halloween fun!
Spirit Halloween Store Outing
Our outing to the Spirit Halloween store was absolutely spook-tacular! It was a day full of laughter, surprises, and a lot of spooky fun. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the sights and sounds of Halloween magic – skeletons, creepy animatronics, and decorations everywhere. The group was buzzing with excitement, exploring the aisles filled with costumes, masks, and all kinds of eerie props.
Everyone had a blast trying on mask – from superheroes to ghouls, we saw some wild and hilarious looks! It was great seeing everyone get into the Halloween spirit, whether they were laughing at silly costumes or checking out the spooky decorations. We even had a few of the animatronics jump out, and the group couldn’t stop giggling! Some people had fun testing out the sound effects and flashing lights, while others were excited to pick out small Halloween treats and decorations to take home.
The best part was the sense of community and togetherness. It was a day of pure joy, where everyone could be themselves, let loose, and enjoy the excitement of the season. Everyone left with big smiles on their faces, and we’re already talking about going back again next year!
Pumpkin Decorating
It was an absolute blast at the day program as everyone got into the Halloween spirit by decorating pumpkins! The room was buzzing with excitement as participants carefully chose their pumpkins, each one different from the next. Some went for spooky faces, others for silly and creative designs, and there were even a few that turned into colorful masterpieces!
The air was filled with laughter and cheerful chatter as everyone worked together, sharing ideas and materials. Markers, paint, stickers, glitter, and even googly eyes were scattered across the tables. There were pumpkins with intricate spider webs, others with friendly ghost faces, and some with big, bright smiles—each one more unique than the last.
For some, it was all about the spooky factor, with jagged teeth and eerie expressions, while others embraced the whimsical side of Halloween, with vibrant colors and playful characters. Whether it was the joy of getting messy with paint or the satisfaction of seeing a pumpkin come to life, everyone had a great time letting their creativity flow.
At the end of the day, the room looked like a Halloween wonderland, filled with fun and festive pumpkin designs. It was the perfect way to celebrate the season and share some spooky fun together!
Halloween Party
Our Halloween party at the day program was an absolute blast! We kicked off the fun with a lively karaoke session, where everyone sang their favorite spooky tunes and showed off their best Halloween spirit. Then it was time for some Halloween Bingo, with prizes for everyone as we all enjoyed the thrill of the game. The delicious pizza and cupcakes were the perfect treat to fuel all the fun—everyone loved the festive snacks!
One of the highlights was our Halloween parade, where we proudly showed off our costumes. It was a parade of creativity, with costumes ranging from spooky monsters to funny characters, and everyone took turns striking their best poses for pictures.
