Welcome to the July Edition of our agency wide newsletter!
Hackettstown
The fourth of July party we had was out of this world! We had a big dance party doing the cupid shuffle, cotton eyed joe, and the cha cha slide! My staff cooked for us hamburgers, they made macaroni salad, potato salad, pasta salad along with baked beans and cole slaw! We even enjoyed a really big fruit salad! For dessert we had bomb pops which are such a classic! We watched some fireworks happen on the smart board too! We had such an eventful day and ended up calling one of our old staff members too! She sent us the cool fourth of july sunglasses that all my peers and I got to enjoy! We can’t wait for our next party!

I really enjoyed going to Merrill Creek. I got to see crystals that were in a glass case on the wall. My peer and I played Tic-Tac-Toe made by wood! We saw different environments and what type of animals live there. We made imprints of animal tracking which was pretty cool to see! We explored through this big room too that had many birds hanging from the ceiling, different bones of animals, and many types of fish on the walls!

Latest news and updates from your reporter on the scene; Darren.
The past month we went on a trip to Dairy Queen for lunch (I had a burger, fries and coke and a strawberry sundae), Meadow Breeze Park to have our lunch 5 times and ShopRite for ingredients to make sugar cookies for National Sugar Cookie Day. Common Sense for Animals can no longer accept shredded paper because it’s clogging the ventilation system, so we went and donated bed sheets for the animals and went for a ride afterwards to see horses in the fields. We also went to Meals at Home 7 times! We celebrated Steven’s birthday and all the centers joined in with singing happy birthday during Music with Jesse.

Our vegetables are growing like weeds! We’ve grown lettuce, peppers and tomatoes and our herbs look good too. The squash and cucumber plants are growing and they have flowers on them. We had some deer in the backyard that enjoyed munching on some of the plants outside the green house. Speaking of deer, we also had 2 little baby deer hanging around under the tree.
