WASHINGTON, NJ – June 3, 2024 – Through the support of U.S. Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. and U.S. Senator Cory A. Booker, Abilities of Northwest Jersey, Inc. will receive $127,000 in congressionally directed funding as part of the fiscal year 2024 congressional appropriations bill.
The funds will be used to provide specialized support and remote learning opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, who are interested in technology-focused careers.
“We are grateful to our legislators for recognizing that persons with disabilities may have a unique set of skills in the field of technology that is beneficial to many employers. We look forward to supporting their success through this funding initiative,”
