Highest level of certification awarded by independent, nonprofit accreditor
Abilities of Northwest Jersey Inc. has once again received a three-year accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF International).
CARF accreditation is a globally recognized, voluntary credential that validates an organization’s commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
The three-year accreditation demonstrates Abilities’ substantial conformance to the CARF standards. It is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization. It covers employment supports, job development, vocational evaluation services, employee development services, organizational employment services, and transition services with an “autism spectrum disorder – adults” designation for each accredited service.
“This is the 15th consecutive accreditation that CARF International has awarded to Abilities, which is a reflection of how our committed teams go above and beyond to provide exceptional care when delivering services,” said Abilities CEO Cynthia B. Wildermuth. “We’re especially proud that Abilities continues to be the only non-profit organization in the northwest region of New Jersey with services accredited specifically for adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).”
Abilities, which undergoes a rigorous peer review process, again demonstrated to a team of CARF surveyors that it is committed to offering exceptional, high-quality services and programs.
“The accreditation is an indication of Abilities’ dedication and commitment to improving the quality of life of the people it serves,” said Brian J. Boone, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of CARF International. “It affirms that care plans are individualized, respecting the dignity, preferences, and unique needs of each person receiving services.”
